Chevy Camaro Set to Outsell the Ford Mustang…First Time in 25 Years

2010 is coming to a close and with that it looks like the Chevy Camaro is set to outsell the Ford Mustang this year for the first time in 25 years. Yup, the last time that happened was back in 1985.

According to Autoweek, in the first 11 months of this year Chevy has sold 75,685 Camaros, while Ford has only sold 68,264 Mustangs. If the sales numbers hold through Decmeber, Chevy will sell about 82,000 Camaros, while Ford will finish the year with about 74,500 Mustangs sold.

The Camaro has managed to pull ahead of the Mustang with only one model. Next year Chevy is going to release the Camaro Convertible and a Z28 is expected for 2012.
