The 2018 Chevy Corvette hasn’t even entered production yet, but now we’re hearing that the 2018 Corvette will actually have a short run. The 2018 Corvette will only be produced for about three months, until the 2019 Chevy Corvette starts rolling down the line in late January 2018.

The Corvette is produced in Bowling Green, Kentucky and according to the Bowling Green Daily News, the 2019 Chevy Corvette will start being produced at the plant on January 29, 2018. The last 2018 Corvette will roll off the line on January 22.

Besides the short production run for the 2018 Corvette, does this news give us any other insight? First the Corvette ZR1 is likely to arrive as a 2019 model, but what we’re all waiting to hear about is the new mid-engined Corvette C8, which is likely coming soon too.

We’ll likely get some updates on the future of the Corvette at the LA Auto Show next month or the Detroit Auto Show in January.
