It’s been rumored for months and now Cadillac has confirmed that the ATS sedan is done after the 2018 model year. Yesterday it was revealed that Cadillac did not add the ATS sedan to its 2019 fleet order guide, Cadillac spokesman Donny Nordlicht has confirmed that the small sedan is done.

The news isn’t too surprising, since Cadillac’s former president, Johan de Nysschen, revealed last summer that Cadillac would be rebalancing its sedan lineup. According to Cadillac, “Production of the ATS sedan is ending due to extensive plant upgrades, expansion and re-tooling to prepare for the next generation of Cadillac sedans.”

Cadillac will eventually replace the ATS and CTS with a new CT5 sedan, while a new smaller CT4 will be added as well. For now Cadillac has confirmed that the ATS Coupe will live on for now.
