Leave it to Hollywood to remake every cool movie possible. Hollywood is following the Detroit automakers with their retro Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers, with the remake for the popular 1960’s movie Bullit.

Brad Pitt is going to play the role of Lt. Frank Bullitt, a role that was originally played by Steve McQueen in 1968.

According to Monsters & Critics, “Brad shares a lot of the same passions as Steve McQueen – including a love of motorbikes and fast cars – so it was a dream role for him.”

This movie could be for Ford what Transformers is to GM. The product placement of the upcoming Mustang Bullitt, could be what Ford needs to bring more people into their showrooms. It remains to be seen if the remake will be able to re-enact the great car chase scenes from the original.
