BMW unveiled the seventh-generation 2019 BMW 3 Series sedan just last week and while we don’t know when BMW is planning to reveal the new 3 Series Touring, we have our first preview. BMW recently registered design patents of the new 3 Series wagon with Brazil’s Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial and here they are.

The 2020 BMW 3 Series Touring is based on the same platform as the new sedan and according to reports, it will also arrive in the spring. Its overall look is similar to the new sedan, but it also looks a bit sportier than the last 3 Series wagon.

The design patents don’t provide a look at the interior, but it’s expected that the new 3 Series Touring’s interior will be identical to the sedan. This includes the new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.3-inch infotainment system.

We still don’t know if the next-generation 3 Series Touring will be offered in the US, since crossovers are all the rage here.
