BMW has previewed its upcoming flagship electric vehicle, the iNext, which is scheduled to arrive in 2021. Later this year BMW will unveil a concept version of the iNext as a Vision Vehicle.

From what we can see with this teaser, the iNext will take the shape of an SUV. It’s expected that the production vehicle will be about the same size as the X5. The iNext will be offered with different battery options that will give it a driving range between 280 to 435 miles. There will also reportedly be different electric motor options as well with the top powertrain packing up to three electric motors for a total 800 horsepower.

“The iNext project is our building kit for the future. It will benefit the entire company and all our brands. For the first time, we are combining all key technologies for future mobility in one vehicle. The iNext is fully electric, fully connected and also offers highly automated driving. Today, we gave our shareholders a very first glimpse of the design of the BMW iNext. Later this year, we will be presenting the BMW iNext as a Vision Vehicle.”
