BMW is getting ready to unveil the 2021 BMW M4 and to get us ready for the new M4, BMW has released a batch of photos of it posing next to the new M4 GT3.

2021 BMW M4

What we see here are prototypes of the new M4 and M4 GT3. At the front the M4 keeps the large grille from the 4 Series, but it has larger air intakes in the lower fascia. At the rear, the M4 stands out with its four exhaust outlets and a small spoiler.

The new M4 will be available in two versions, which are both powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six. The standard M4 will have 473 horsepower on tap that’s sent to the wheels via a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. The M4 Competition has a nice 503 hp, but an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both versions will send the power to the rear wheels, but an all-wheel drive version is coming later.

The 2021 BMW M4 is going to debut on September 23, which means sales will likely start in the US in early 2021. The M4 GT3 will take part in its first race next year and in 2022 it will officially replace the BMW M6 GT3 racer.
