On the outside, the X7 concept looks quite different from the rest of BMW’s current SUV lineup, especially from the front with its new take on the BMW kidney grille. BMW says that the X7 iPerformance concept’s face is the new face of the BMW X family, especially the large vertical kidney grille. The elongated twin headlights with BMW laser light link to the grille and a blue X signature in BMW laser light provides a to the rest of the BMW X family.

“The Concept introduces the BMW Sports Activity Vehicle DNA into the luxury segment. The new BMW design language employs just a few, extremely precise lines and subtle surface-work to raise the bar in terms of presence and prestige,” explains Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design.

Inside there’s room for six passengers, while a large panoramic roof gives the interior a light and airy feel. To improve legroom, the Smoke White leather seats are attached to the X7 concept’s floor with a slender seat base. At the front of the interior, there’s a new 12.3-inch screen in front of the driver and a central touchscreen. A new operating concept allows interactive use of the two displays.
