Ford has released a teaser video of the Ford Ranger Raptor, which is going to arrive at some point in 2018. The Ranger Raptor will mimic its bigger brother, the F-150 Raptor with its off-road prowess.

This teaser video for the Ranger Raptor keeps most of the details under wraps, but Ford did state that the Ranger Raptor will have the toughness and capability that’s expected with the Raptor badge. The biggest question right now is what is under the Ranger Raptor’s hood? Some reports claim that the Ranger Raptor is powered by the same 3.5L V6 as the F-150 Raptor, but then there are also reports that it is powered by a 3.2L diesel engine.

The Ranger Raptor will go on sale in Asia next year, but Ford has yet to announce if the upcoming US-spec Ranger will also offer a Raptor version. The standard Ford Ranger will arrive in the U.S. for the 2019 model year, which means that if the Ranger Raptor is coming here too, it will likely arrive for 2020.
