BMW is about to unveil the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe! The new M3 sedan marks the fifth generation of the M3 and the new M4 coupe is the M version of the new 4 Series. BMW also says that the coupe will be introduced at the same time as the four-door sedan.
Although BMW hasn’t unveiled the new M3 or M4, BMW has confirmed that they will be powered by a 3.0L twin-turbocharged six-cylinder that will pack around 430 horsepower. It’s peak torque will also be over 369 lb-ft. The six-cylinder engine can be mated to an optional seven-speed M double clutch transmission. The weight of the M3 and M4 has also been significantly reduced and both cars now weigh under 3,300 pounds.

While we wait for the debut of the M3 and M4, BMW says that the two models “share a low-slung and broad-set, yet finely balanced, stance on the road, highlighting the emphasis on performance capability in the emotional development of M design. Large air intakes at the front end, exposed carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic components and the diffuser at the muscular rear end are far from mere design flourishes; they also fulfill functional roles in terms of aerodynamics, cooling and weight saving.”

The 2015 M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe will launch next summer.
