There have been reports about BMW making a flagship 8 Series coupe for a while, but we’ve yet to receive an official confirmation, but now we have may have a bit of bad news about BMW’s other big coupe. BMW quietly stopped production of the 6 Series Coupe a few months ago and it’s unclear if there will be a new one.
Road & Track confirmed the reports with a BMW spokesperson who confirmed that the 6 Series Coupe is no longer being produced, but the 6 Series Gran Coupe and Convertible are still rolling down the production line. We’ve seen spy photos of a new large BMW Coupe, which is most likely the new 8 Series rather than a new 6 Series Coupe.

Given the fact that BMW has already trademarked the 850, 860, M850 and M8 model names and the fact that the 2-Door coupe market is barely alive, lowers the chances for a new 6 Series Coupe even more.
Only time will tell, but if you do still want a 6 Series Coupe you should still be able to get one at least for a few months if you can find at a dealer.
