BMW is reportedly bringing the BMW i8 Roadster to the LA Auto Show later this month. The long awaited arrival of the i8 Roadster will not only add an open-top model to the i8 lineup, but it will also introduce a new color and more power.
BMW has yet to officially confirm the reports, but the i8 Roadster is expected to have around 400 horsepower and it will also get a few chassis tweaks. The i8 Roadster’s battery will also be around twice as big as the i8 Coupe, which will give it a longer EV driving range. Lastly the soft top will be able to fully retract in only 14 seconds.
On the outside, buyers will be able to choose from a new Electric Copper color and inside the iDrive infotainment system will also get some improvements.
BMW has not announced when the i8 Roadster will arrive, but it’s expected to arrive in showrooms sometime during 2018.
