The 2019 BMW 8 Series coupe is slated to arrive by the end of the year, but if you prefer the open-air driving experience, you’ll want to wait around for the 8 Series convertible. BMW has confirmed that the 8 Series convertible will debut next month at the LA Auto Show.
Following its debut in LA, the BMW 8 Series convertible will arrive in showrooms by next spring – just in time for better weather. The 8 Series convertible will be followed by the four-door 8 Series Gran Coupe and then the hotter M8 versions. The 8 Series Gran Coupe will arrive in showrooms by next summer.
The M8 will be offered in all three body styles, but it’s not known yet what will power the M8. It could get the same 600-hp V8 as the M5, but then there’s also a chance that it could an even more powerful engine.
Stay tuned.
