If you were hoping to get the BMW 3 Series GT, 6 Series GT or 6 Series Gran Coupe in the US, you better act fast. BMW has announced that all three models have been killed after the 2019 model year.
The news about the 3 Series Gran Turismo isn’t surprising, since it was already confirmed that it would be dying with the arrival of the new 3 Series sedan. The news about the 6 Series GT and 6 Series Gran Coupe is a bit more surprising. BMW didn’t say why both 6 Series Gran Turismo is being killed, but it’s likely due to slow sales. On the other hand, 6 Series Gran Coupe is being replaced by the 8 Series Gran Coupe.
BMW has also announced the pricing for the 2020 8 Series Gran Coupe, which starts at $84,900 for the 840i Gran Coupe, while the M850i xDrive Gran Coupe starts at $108,900.
