Bentley, just like nearly every other automaker, knows that it can’t ignore the growing number of electrified cars. Even though Bentley’s current lineup is anything but green, the automaker might be ready to build its first electric car.

Bentley is reportedly looking at the idea of introducing its first electric car as a way to reduce its fleet CO2 emissions. If Bentley does approve its first electric car, it will arrive before 2025 and it could borrow the same EV platform that Porsche and Audi are developing together, called Premium Platform Electric (PPE).

“When is the first full-electric Bentley? That is currently in the decision process, but our target is definitely before 2025,” Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark told Reuters.

Bentley recently previewed its future electric car with the EXP 12 Speed 6e concept.
