According to AutoTelegraaff Audi is going to release the Q7 V12 TDI in the second half of 2008. The V12 version of the Q7 packs 500 horsepower and propels the large SUV from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds.

The new V12 diesel engine is going to be the most powerful diesel engine ever offered in a production vehicle. Considering how large the engine is, it still manages to only consume 11.9 litres per 100 km and it meets Europe’s new 2010 emissions standards.

There is no word if the SUV will be offered in the U.S.
