Audi has unveiled a very special version of the 2021 Audi R8 RWD, the R8 Panther Edition. The rear-wheel drive version of the R8 is limited to the US market and only 30 units will be built.
The R8 Panther Edition is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that generates 532 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough power to give the rear-wheel drive R8 a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 201 mph.
On the outside the R8 Panther Edition comes exclusively in Panther Black paint with carbon fiber mirror housings, and 20-inch black wheels with red accents. Inside the black and red theme continues with racing shell seats with crimson red Nappa leather. It also comes standard with a Bang & Olufsen audio system, illuminated door sills and a sport exhaust.
The 2021 Audi R8 Panther Edition arrives next month and it starts at $186,495, including the $1,495 destination and $1,700 gas guzzler tax.
