Thanks to the success of the first A5, Audi didn’t see the need to do a dramatic redo. Instead the design of the new A5 melds cues from the new A4 with the last-generation A5. Overall the new A5 gets a more refined exterior, but under the skin, the A5 gets an all-new chassis, more powerful engines and new infotainment features and driver assistance systems.

In Europe the Audi A5 will launch in Germany with five engines: two TFSI and three TDI units. The more powerful engines generate between 190-hp and 286-hp. The engines are also more fuel efficient than with the previous model, which consume as much as 22 percent less fuel. The S5 is powered by a 3.0L V6 turbocharged engine with 354 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque, which gives it a 0-62 mph time of 4.7 seconds.
