Audi has confirmed plans for the R8 GT Spyder and has released a few sketches to hold us over until its officially unveiled.
Last month Audi announced the pricing for the R8 GT coupe that starts at $196,800. You can expect the Spyder version to be powered by the same 560 hp 5.2L V10 FSI engine as the coupe. Although since the Spyder is not quite as aerodynamic as the coupe, its top speed is a little lower at 193 mph, six less than the coupe.
It’s expected that Audi will limit the production of the R8 GT Spyder to similar numbers as the coupe, which is 333. The Spyder version is also expected to cost even more than the coupe.
