Audi Gives the 2012 Audi A5 and S5 a Facelift

Audi is giving the A5 lineup a facelift for the 2012 model year. The A5 and the more powerful S5 version get new styling and updated engines.

On the outside the 2012 A5 and S5 models get new headlights that are more inline with the A6 and Audi A1 models. The front fascia also gets a new front bumper with a restyled grille. The rear of the A5 and S5 gets new taillights with LED light strips and a restyled bumper.

Inside the interior gets updated with a new steering wheel,a new selector for the automatic transmissions and a new ignition key. The Audi MMI infotainment system is also getting updated and there are new interior colors.

In Europe the A5 is powered by a 170-hp 1.8L, 211-hp 2.0L and 272-hp 3.0L V6. The diesel options are a 177-hp 2.0L and three V6 engines. In the US the A5 is only available with the 211-hp 2.0L. The S5 models are now powered by a 333-hp 3.0L V6 that replaces the 4.2L V8. The 2012 S5 reaches 0-62 mph in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.

The pricing is set to only increase slightly.
