Aston Martin is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Q by Aston Martin division with the DBR22 coachbuilt roadster, which is making its debut in Monterey.
The DBR22 is inspired by classic Le Mans race cars, like the 1953 DB3S and 1959 DBR1. You’ll notice that there are no side windows or even a windshield besides the wraparound wind deflector. At the front there’s a unique grille with carbon fiber inserts that feeds the air to the V12 engine. At the rear there’s a full-width taillight setup, an integrated diffuser and two center exhaust tips. It also rides on special 21-inch 14-spoke alloy wheels.
Under the hood there’s a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine with 705 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque. According to Aston Martin, the DBR22 can reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 198 mph.
