Although Mercedes-Benz isn’t going to officially unveil the all-new 2015 C-Class until January at the Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes has already started to release some details. The next C-Class will use a new lightweight body structure that will see the use of more aluminum to make it around 220 pounds lighter than the current C-Class.
According to Mercedes the 2015 C-Class will have a “best in class” weight figure and will be significantly more advanced than the current model. The new body structure consists of nine primary cast components with the suspension being mounted on aluminum die-cast elements. The next C-Class will also use a new four-link front and five-line rear suspension, which will supposedly give it “supreme straight line stability.”

On the outside we can expect a more sculpted exterior, which will take styling cues from the new CLA and S-Class models. The new C-Class’s interior will also be a significant step forward with an optional head-up display and a free standing central display that can be as large as 8.4-inches.
