We have a bit of sad news to report today. The Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe will be discontinued after the 2018 model year, but at least the 4C Spider will live on.

Alfa Romeo 4C

Motor Authority received the confirmation from the Alfa Romeo 4C’s product manager, Danny Pritt, who confirmed that not only will the 4C Coupe disappear after 2018, but the 2019 4C Spider will get a higher starting price.

The 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider will see its base price rise from $65,900 to $66,900. The 2019 4C will also not be available with the Track Package, but buyers will be able to add some of the upgrades from the package individually. This includes performance shock absorbers, larger front- and rear-sway bars and larger wheels.

One new addition for the 2019 4C is a backup camera is now standard.

Alfa Romeo five year plan

If you’re sad that the 4C Coupe is now done, don’t worry, since Alfa Romeo has already confirmed a new Giulia-based coupe that will revive the GTV name. The 2+2 GTV will have over 600 horsepower on tap thanks to its hybrid powertrain.
