Acura has announced that the 2018 Acura RLX goes on sale tomorrow, starting at $55,865. Most buyers probably don’t even pay attention to Acura’s flagship sedan, but for the 2018 model year the RLX received an extensive facelift.

At the front the 2018 RLX features Acura’s diamond pentagon grille, which is an improvement over Acura’s outgoing face. The rear also gets restyled with more modern looking taillights and lastly new alloy wheels do make the 2018 RLX look a bit sportier.

The 2018 RLX will be offered in two versions, the RLX P-AWS and RLX Sport Hybrid. The RLX P-AWS is powered by a 3.5L V6 that generates 310 horsepower and 272 lb.-ft. of torque. The 3.5L V6 is mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission and is rated at 20/29 mpg. The sportier option is the RLX Sport Hybrid with its V6 and three electric motors. The RLX Sport Hybrid packs 377 horsepower and 341 lb.-ft. of torque, plus it sends its power to all four wheels. THe RLX Sport Hybrid is rated at 28/29 mpg.

Inside, the 2018 Acura RLX receives upgraded materials including completely redesigned Milano leather seats with high-contrast, piping and stitching, as well as a new Espresso interior option and available black headliner.

The base RLX starts at $55,865, while the RLX Sport Hybrid is priced at $63,830.
