Acura has announced the pricing for the 2019 Acura MDX, which starts at $45,295, including the destination fees. The 2019 MDX arrives in dealers today with new some new exterior color options, a few small performance upgrades and the available A-Spec sport appearance package.
The 2019 Acura MDX gets some enhancements to its interior, including an available Desert Olive Ash wood trim, high-contrast seat and door panel stitching, and contrasting front seat side garnishes. Driver and front passenger seats now feature standard 4-way power lumbar adjustments, while the Technology and Entertainment packages receive an updated second-row seat configuration that makes it easier to get into the third row. Lastly the 2019 MDX with Advance Package adds matching wood center console trim.
The 2019 MDX is available in nine colors, including the new Gunmetal Metallic, Majestic Black Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, Canyon Bronze Metallic and Apex Blue Pearl. The Advance Package also gets new 20-inch wheels.
The MDX A-Spec sport appearance version comes standard with Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), half-inch wider 20-inch Shark Grey aluminum alloy wheels, a more aggressive front fascia, body-color lower sills, larger-diameter exhaust finishers, as well as gloss-black and dark chrome trim for the headlights, grille, window surround and rear tailgate spoiler.
Inside the MDX A-Spec features sport seats that come in either rich red or black leather with black Alcantara inserts, high-contrast stitching, unique A-Spec gauges, sport pedals, Alcantara door inserts, gloss-black trim, a thicker-rimmed A-Spec-badged steering wheel with paddle shifters, and an A-Spec door step garnish.
The 2019 Acura MDX A-Spec starts at $55,795.
The 2019 MDX can now be equipped with an Active Damper System. The 3.5L V6 carries over unchanged with 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft. of torque. Its nine-speed automatic transmission now prioritizes starting from a stop in second gear to give it smoother starts in normal driving, but when more performance is needed it the tnansmission will start in first gear. An upgraded Idle Stop feature that is now standard.
The 2019 MDX with front-wheel drive is rated at 20/27 mpg, the A-Spec is rated at 19/25, and the all-wheel drive 2019 MDX is rated at 19/26 mpg.
All 2019 MDX trims levels come standard with the AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking System with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning.
