Honda and Acura have released two teaser photos of two concept models that will debut later this month at the Shanghai Motor Show. The Honda concept model previews an all-new Honda model that will be introduced to the Chinese market. The model we should care more about is the new Acura concept, which previews a new “global” crossover model.

Since the RDX is still relatively new and an all-new 2014 MDX is only a few months away from arriving in showrooms, this new Acura concept likely previews a new smaller Acura crossover. At the Detroit Auto Show Honda showed off a new small crossover concept that will be based on the Fit and will slot below the CR-V in Honda’s lineup. This new Acura concept will also sit below the RDX in Acura’s lineup and will go head to head with models like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 crossovers.
