A New Subaru WRX Hatchback is Still a Possibility

If you’ve been disappointed in the fact that Subaru hasn’t unveiled a new WRX hatchback, there’s still a chance that it could happen.

Subaru WRX fans, we’ve got some good news for you. If you’ve been disappointed in the fact that Subaru hasn’t unveiled a new WRX hatchback, there’s still a chance that it could happen.
WRX project manager Masuo Takatsu recently told Motoring that Subaru is now considering the WRX hatchback, mainly because the previous one accounted for half of all WRX sales in the U.S. The previous five-door WRX was mostly popular in the U.S., Japan and Australia with the U.S. being its biggest market.

One of the reasons that a new WRX hatchback hasn’t been released is because Subaru says it has limited engineering resources. Given the fact that the WRX is based on the Impreza, which is offered as a hatchback, it shouldn’t be too hard to create a five-door WRX. Stay tuned…
