Tesla is set to curtail Cybertruck output in 2027 at its Gigafactory Texas to accommodate a ramp up in Cybercab manufacturing.

“We will be winding down production of the Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production,” Elon Musk wrote on X. Should that schedule stand, 2027 would mark the end of the line for the Cybertruck, although Musk’s words apply only to the Texas plant and leave open the off chance of it being made in another location, but that seems unlikely.
The Cybertruck’s sales figures may put a damper on such a move. Tesla originally set an annual goal of 250,000 units but has not come close to meeting it. Some 39,000 were sold in 2024; last year the number was just over 20,000.
