Polestar is gearing up for its biggest product push yet. The EV brand has announced plans to launch four new models over the next three years, a major expansion that will significantly reshape its lineup by 2028.After posting its best retail sales year in 2025, Polestar says it expects low double-digit volume growth in 2026, alongside a 30% expansion of its retail network.
Four New Polestar EVs Are Coming

Polestar 5 (Summer 2026)
The long-awaited Polestar 5 will serve as the brand’s halo model. Positioned as a four-door electric grand tourer, it rides on a lightweight bonded aluminum platform and promises sharper performance and more luxury than anything currently in the lineup. Deliveries are expected to begin in summer 2026.

New Polestar 4 Variant (Late 2026)
The Polestar 4, currently the brand’s best-seller, is getting a new variant later this year, with deliveries starting in the fourth quarter of 2026. While full details haven’t been revealed, Polestar says the new version will broaden the model’s appeal with added versatility. From the teaser photo it looks like the new version of the Polestar 4 will have an actual rear window, unlike the current version.

Next-Generation Polestar 2 (Early 2027)
The Polestar 2, the car that effectively built the brand’s identity, will be fully redesigned. The next-generation version is scheduled to launch in early 2027.

Polestar 7 Compact SUV (2028)
Rounding out the expansion is the Polestar 7, a compact premium electric SUV set to launch in 2028. This model will target the heart of Europe’s EV market, where compact SUVs represent roughly one-third of total BEV volume. Polestar says the Polestar 7 will offer performance-focused dynamics at a more accessible price point and will be built in Europe.
