Audi has announced the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT, a tribute to the iconic Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO race car.

Racing Audis from the 80s and 90s have long set enthusiast hearts aflutter. Audi is looking to capitalize on this with the newly announced 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT, which features numerous visual tributes to those classic racing cars of the past.

Visually, the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT will not be mistaken for your standard-issue RS6 Avant Performance. Starting at the front, we find a new grille, an aggressive front splitter, and a unique carbon fiber hood and front fenders, which feature large cutouts for enhanced brake cooling. Massive 22-inch wheels are matched with a 10-millimeter ride height reduction to completely fill out the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT’s wheel wells. Around back is a prominent double-wing spoiler, a direct callback to the one featured on the 1989 Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO race car.

The 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT will also be offered with three exclusive decal packages (how very 80s) with one featuring Arkona white with black gray and red (the only one coming to the US), the second pairing Nardò gray with gloss-black wheels, and the third pairing Mythos black with matte black wheels.

On the inside, the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT features a black leather and Alcantara interior with red and copper stitching and carbon fiber trim. The RS Design Package is standard on all 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GTs as are exclusive carbon fiber front seats.

Motivation for the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT comes from the same 4.0-liter V8 as the standard 2024 Audi RS6 Avant Performance, producing 621 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque mated to an eight-speed transmission. This powertrain is one-tenth of a second quicker than the standard model, thanks to some subtle tweaks. Of course, any vehicle honoring Audi’s racing past is expected to feature Audi’s ubiquitous Quattro AWD system, and the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT is no exception.

The 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT will be limited to 660 units, with just 85 of those making their way to the US.
