Last month Toyota pulled the covers off the highly anticipated 2024 Tacoma at a big event in Hawaii. We got our first look at the new Tacoma, which marks the first full redesign of the midsize pickup in years. Now Toyota has revealed one of the special colors that the Tacoma TRD Pro will be available in – Terra.
Toyota has only released a single photo of the Tacoma TRD Pro in Terra, which we can see here.
For a refresher, the 2024 Tacoma is all-new from the ground up and is now based on the same TNGA-F global truck platform as the Tundra and Sequoia. The 2024 Tacoma will be offered in two body styles with either a 5- or 6-foot bed. There’s the two-door XtraCab or the four-door Double Cab. The Tacoma is available in SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off Road, Limited, TRD Pro, and Trailhunter trim levels.
For the first time ever, the Tacoma will be offered with a hybrid powertrain that mates a 2.4-liter four-cylinder to a 48 hp electric motor to generate a combined 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder. The entry-level SR trim level has 228 horsepower and 243 lb.-ft. of torque, while higher trims have 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque, when mated to the eight-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed manual transmission is available, but it has slightly less power at 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque.Â
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma will arrive later this year starting with the turbocharged 2.0-liter models. The Tacoma hybrid will arrive in spring 2024.
