We’ve been waiting to hear what Tesla had in store for the updated Model 3 Performance and now we have all the details. The good news is that the new Model 3 Performance builds on the last version with more power, an adaptive suspension and sport seats.

2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance

The 2024 Model 3 Performance has a new rear motor called “Performance 4DU.” Tesla says that thecompared to the previous Model 3 Performance drive unit, the Performance 4DU can deliver up to +22% continuous power, +32% peak power, and +16% peak torque delivery. The Model 3 Performance now has 510 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque. The good news is that even with the improvements Tesla says that there’s a “2% reduction in energy consumption.”

The Model 3 Performance now has a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds, compared to 3.1 seconds for the previous model. It has a 296 mile range.

Tesla has also given the suspension an upgrade a new adaptive suspension, which can be adjusted via three modes: Standard, Sport and Track.

On the outside there are only slightly different details to separate the Performance version from the rest of the Model 3 range. It does get different front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber spoiler, a front splitter and new diffuser. Tesla says that the design changes make the Model 3 Performance more aerodynamic with -5% reduced drag, -36% lift reduction, and 55% improvement in front-to-rear lift balance.
