It’s been a number of years since Nissan updated the GT-R, but now it’s getting a refresh for the 2024 model year. Nissan has unveiled the refreshed 2024 GT-R at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

The 2024 GT-R gets redesigned front and rear fascias and new rear wing designs to increase downforce and reduce drag. At the front the V motion grille has been replaced with a bigger grille. The front bumper has also been redesigned with new hexagonal lights. The GT-R Nismo stands out with its new rear wing with its swan neck-style supports. The rear wing has an almost 10% larger surface area to optimize drag and downforce. The GT-R Nismo’s front lip, rear diffuser and canards have also been revised.

According to Nissan, the GT-R’s drag coefficient is unchanged at 0.26 Cd even with the increase in downforce.

Under the hood there’s the same 3.8-liter V6, 24-valve, twin-turbocharged engine with 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque, that’s mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and the ATTESA ET-S all-wheel-drive system. The GT-R Nismo arrives with 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque and for the first time it gets a front limited-slip differential

For the 2024 model year the GT-R T-spec returns to build on the Premium version with additions, like GT-R Nismo carbon-ceramic brakes, a gold-painted version of the Nismo’s Rays 20-inch forged wheels, Nismo-tuned Vehicle Dynamic Control and wider front fenders. The T-spec gets special badging inside and out, a dark Mori Green upholstery color and semi-aniline and suede front seats. The GT-R T-spec is also available in two special colors Millennium Jade, which pays tribute to the R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nür and Midnight Purple, which is inspired by the Midnight Purple III color on the R34 GT-R V-Spec.
