When the current generation Lexus RX was introduced we were promised a plug-in hybrid version and now a year later, Lexus is ready to introduce the 2024 RX 450h+. This marks the first introduction of a plug-in version of the popular RX SUV.
The RX 450h+ is powered by the same powertrain as the NX plug-in hybrid, with its 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to the plug-in hybrid system. The 2024 RX 450h+ hybrid system has a manufacturer-estimated combined 83 MPGe rating and a 35 mile electric driving range. Lexus also estimated that the RX 450h+ can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds. It also sends its power to all four wheels.
Using a 240-volt charger, the Lexus RX 450h+ can be fully charged in approximately 2.5 using the standard 6.6 kW onboard charger.
The pricing for the 2024 Lexus RX 450h+ starts at $70,080. Deliveries will start by the end of 2023.
