Audi has unveiled a very limited edition of the 2023 R8, called the R8 GT, which is powered by the 5.2-liter V-10 with 602 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque that sends all its power to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. According to Audi, the 2023 R8 GT can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 199 mph.

2023 Audi R8 GT

Only 333 2023 Audi R8 GT coupes will be built. It stands out from the rest of the R8 range with exclusive add-on parts. At the rear there’s The black ‘R8 GT’ and all the other emblems are in black. It also gets the Carbon Aerokit in high gloss, which consists of a front splitter, flics, side skirt covers, cW-elements on the sides of the rear bumper, a diffuser, and a rear wing with gooseneck suspension.

Inside there’s a black and red interior. The floor mats and the R8 bucket seats feature the lettering of the R8 GT in black and red. Additionally buyers can find the sequential numbering of their R8 GT in the middle of the center console next to the gear selector lever, partially matted in the carbon inlay.

To make it even more fun to drive, the R8 GT gets a Torque Rear mode, which alters the traction and stability control system with seven settings. The settings are controlled by a knob on the steering wheel. Level 1 allows little slippage, while level 7 allows a lot of slippage. The R8 GT also weighs 44 pounds less than the R8 Coupe Performance RWD thanks to lightweight forged 20-inch wheels and a ceramic braking system. In addition, there are R8 bucket seats and the performance sports suspension with the carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic anti-roll bar. The front anti-roll bar is made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic.

Sadly the R8 GT is the send off for the V-10, since Audi with this headline in the press release, “The R8 GT Says Goodbye to the V-10 Engine.”
