Jeep has announced the long list of updates that the 2022 Wrangler has received, in addition to the new Xtreme Recon package that debuted a few months ago.
For starters there’s a new 4.88 axle ratio available on Rubicon models with the 3.6-liter V6, which delivers a 100:1 crawl ratio. Remote Proximity Keyless Entry and an upgraded audio system with a 8.4-inch touchscreen are now standard on the Sahara and Rubicon. The Sport and Sport S models have a 7-inch touchscreen.
Smaller updates include new blue tow hooks on the Sahara 4xe, new 20-inch wheels for the High Altitude 4xe and a standard cabin filter. There’s also a new color, Silver Zynith, that replaces Billet Silver.
Buyers can choose from several powertrain options, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine integrated with two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack (4xe), 6.4-liter V8 HEMI engine (Rubicon 392), 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. The Jeep Wrangler four-door models are also available with a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine.
