The 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup is almost here, since GMC has announced that production of the electric pickup has kicked off at its Factory Zero plant.

“We brought this truck to market with speed and agility and brought GM another step closer to an all-electric future,” said GM President Mark Reuss. “With our Ultium Platform as the foundation for a broad range of applications, the GMC Hummer EV offers our customers the ultimate in capability and performance.”

The first Hummer EV pickup (VIN 001) was auctioned on March 27, 2021 for $2.5 million with proceeds benefitting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization established to honor the memory of Sept. 11 first responder Stephen Siller.

The first version to arrive is the Edition 1, which is already sold out. The pricing for the Hummer EV Edition 1 starts at $110,295. If you didn’t reserve the Edition 1, you’ll have to wait until fall 2022 to get the Hummer EV 3X version, which starts at $99,995. The 2X version starts at $89,995, but it won’t arrive until spring 2023. The cheapest version the Hummer EV 2 will start at $79,995, but it doesn’t arrive until spring 2024. The Hummer EV SUV will arrive in spring 2023 and starts at $105,595.
