Volkswagen has announced that the ID.4 AWD Pro’s driving range is only slightly lower than the rear-wheel drive version. The ID.4 AWD Pro has an EPA-estimated 249 miles of range, compared to 260 miles for the rear-wheel drive version.

The ID.4 AWD Pro S has a 240 mile range, compared to the rear-wheel drive version, which has a 250 mile range. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the ID.4 AWD Pro is 102 MPGe in city driving; 90 MPGe in highway driving, and 97 MPGe in combined city/highway driving. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the AWD Pro S is 98 MPGe in city driving; 88 MPGe in highway driving, and 93 MPGe in combined city/highway driving.

The AWD ID.4 models are powered by two electric motors that generate a combined 295 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. It can also be charged from five to 80 percent in 38 minutes using a DC fast charger.

The 2021 ID.4 AWD Pro starts at $43,675, before any federal or tax incentives. The AWD Pro S starts at $48,175.
