Toyota has announced the updates to the 2021 Toyota Prius Prime plug-in hybrid. Although there aren’t any styling updates, the Prius Prime now comes standard with more safety tech.

The Prius Prime now comes with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 safety suite, which includes features like, automatic emergency braking, a pre-collision system with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist and road sign assist.

The Prius Prime LE also now has Android Auto compatibility.

The Prius Prime can travel up to 25 miles in EV mode and has a total driving range up to 640 miles. In hybrid mode the Prius Prime LE is rated at 55 city/53 highway/54 combined MPG. When it’s fully charged it also has a 133 MPGe rating.

Lastly there are two new colors available for 2021, Supersonic Red and Wind Chill Pearl, which replaces Blizzard Pearl White.
