Toyota has finally jumped on the Apple CarPlay bandwagon with it arriving in models like the 2019 Avalon, RAV4 and Corolla hatchback. Toyota will also add it to some of its other 2019 models, including the 2019 Toyota C-HR.
We’re currently at an event for the launch of the 2019 Avalon and Corolla Hatchback. We can’t tell you much about those new models yet (embargoed), but a Toyota exec did reveal that the 2019 C-HR crossover will get Apple CarPlay when it arrives in a few months. Toyota hasn’t revealed the 2019 Toyota C-HR yet, so we don’t know what other changes the small crossover will get.
There have been complaints about the lack of features and options in the C-HR, since it’s only offered in two trim levels, XLE and XLE Premium, so it’s expected that Toyota will address that with the 2019 updates. There’s also a rumor that the 2019 C-HR will introduce a new hybrid powertrain option. We’ll have more updates soon.
