Porsche has already sold over 350,000 Macans since it was introduced in 2014 and now it’s time to refresh the popular SUV. Porsche has unveiled the updated 2019 Macan, which gets refreshed styling and an updated interior with more tech features.
On the outside the biggest changes to the 2019 Porsche Macan are at the back, which now has a full LED taillight strip that’s similar to the Panamera and the new Cayenne. At the front the changes are smaller with new LED headlights being the most significant change.
Inside the 2019 Macan gets a new optional GT sports steering wheel, which integrates the Sport Response Button if you choose the optional Sports Chrono Package. A heated windshield and an ionizer have also been added to the options list, but the biggest update to the interior is the new 11-inch touchscreen, which has been enlarged from 7-inches.
The updated infotainment system now features the “Here Cloud” connection, which offers swarm-based traffic data. Plus the new Offroad Precision App lets you record and analyze your off-road driving experiences.
Porsche’s engineers have also tweaked the 2019 Macan’s chassis to improve its ride quality and the tires have been updated to improve the Macan’s performance. The last thing we’re waiting to hear about are the updates to the Macan’s engine lineup. There are rumors that all the engines will generate more power, but we’ll have to wait until Porsche makes the announcement.
