Mazda has released the first teaser video for the next-generation 2019 Mazda3, which is going to debut next month. The teaser previews the rear of the 2019 Mazda3 hatchback, which borrows styling cues from the Kai concept.
The 2019 Mazda3 will debut on November 27, which means we’ll likely get to see it in person that week at the LA Auto Show. The teaser of the rear of the Mazda3 hatchback shows that the shape will be similar to the Kai concept, but with some small changes, like conventional door handles.
A second image in the video also previews the profile of the 2019 Mazda3, which looks a bit different than the Kai concept. We’ll likely get more teasers of the new Mazda3 leading up to its debut next month.
We do know a few other things about the new Mazda3, including the fact that it will be based on a new modular platform called SkyActiv-Vehicle Architecture. The platform was also previewed with the Kai concept. It is expected to bring some improvements to the Mazda3, including a more dynamic driving experience, a quieter interior and smoother ride.
The new Mazda3 will also be powered by a new SkyActiv-X engine, which features Mazda’s latest technology, Spark-Controlled Combustion Ignition.
