Lexus is continuing the renaissance of its lineup and now it’s completely revamped one of it’s best selling models, the ES. The 2019 Lexus ES is now more stylish with Lexus’ effort to give the ES some much needed style, which has been largely missing from the previous six generations. Lexus also points out that the 2019 ES is moving up a bit in the lineup to ditch its entry-luxury sedan status.

The 2019 Lexus ES is now based on a new Global Architecture – K (GA-K) platform that gives the new ES a longer, lower and wider stance. This 2019 ES is 2.6-inches longer, it’s lower by 0.2 inches and 1.8-inches wider than the last generation. Lastly the wheels have been pushed further to the corners too with the 2019 ES getting a two-inch longer wheelbase, the front track is 0.2-inches wider and the rear track has been widened by 1.5-inches. All of the updated proportions combine to give the 2019 ES a sportier look.

Speaking of styling, the 2019 ES now has a sportier front fascia thanks to its lower hood and two grille options, while the ES 350 F Sport obviously gets the most aggressive face. As you move to the side, you’ll notice a new “fast roofline” is sleeker than previous ES models. The rear is finished off with a chiseled look that completes the design of the sportier and more dynamic ES. Buyers can also choose 17-, 18, or 19-inch wheels.

Inside the 2019 ES gets a more driver focused interior with the center display screen, instrument panel and head up display directly in the driver’s field of view. There’s also more interior room thanks to the longer wheelbase and a lower hip point makes sure that head room doesn’t suffer, even with the sleeker roofline. Inside the ES now offers Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa connectivity.

lighter and more power dense electric motor and CVT. The hybrid system generates a combined 215 horsepower and it’s estimated that it will have a 44 mpg combined rating.
