Lexus has released the first teaser of an all-new vehicle that it’s going to reveal later this month at the Beijing Motor Show. While Lexus isn’t confirming which new vehicle it actually is, it’s most likely the next-generation 2019 Lexus ES.
How do we know that the teaser is a preview of the 2019 Lexus ES? Well fortunately a leaked photo of the 2019 Lexus ES showed up online yesterday and the front fascia we see in this teaser is pretty close to the grainy leaked photo. Lexus is keeping all the details under wraps for now, but it does say that the new model will “radically transform the driving experience for luxury consumers all over the world.”
What exactly does that mean? We’re not sure yet, but the next-generation Lexus ES will be based on Toyota’s TNGA platform that’s also the basis for the latest Camry and the 2019 Avalon. We’ve said it several times, but expect some big changes for the ES as it attempts to fill the shoes left by the GS sedan, which is expected to depart the lineup soon.
The new Lexus vehicle will debut on April 25.
