For the 2019 model year the Kia Optima is getting a small facelift that gives it a slightly sportier look. The 2019 Kia Optima also now comes standard with a longer list of features, but its price as gone up slightly with a starting price set at $23,820.
The base 2019 Kia Optima LX is now $325 more than the 2018 model, but as you move up the range the pricing has gone up even more. The 2019 Optima S starts at $25,820, which is $1,325 more. The Optima EX now starts at $27,720, which is $1,125 more than last year’s model. The top spec 2019 Optima SX now starts at $32,820, which is $1,325 more.
In addition to the Stinger inspired exterior styling, the 2019 Kia Optima also now comes standard with a long list of driver assistance features, like forward collision-avoidance assist, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and driver attention warning.
The Optima LX and S models are powered by a 185-hp 2.4L four-cylinder, while the Optima EX gets a 178-hp 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder and the Optima SX is powered by a 245-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. A seven-speed dual clutch transmission is standard on the Optima EX, while the other trim levels get a six-speed automatic.
