Hyundai is getting ready to unveil its next electric car, the fully-electric Hyundai Kona SUV. It’s being reported that the 2019 Hyundai Kona EV will debut in a few months at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The electric Kona will have a driving range around 240 miles, which is more impressive than the current Ioniq EV. The Kona EV also won’t use the same powertrain as the Ioniq EV with a larger battery pack. One report claims that the Kona EV will have a 50 kWh battery pack.
Hyundai hasn’t revealed any other details about the Kona EV, but it’s expected that the same electric powertrain will be offered in the Kia Stoic as well. The Kona and Kia Stoic electric SUVs are just two of the 15 electrified models that Hyundai is planning on launching by 2020.
Sales of the Hyundai Kona EV will likely kick off shortly after its debut in Geneva.
