Honda has announced that the 2019 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell will arrive in showrooms on April 16. There aren’t any big changes, but the lease rate has gone up to $379 a month compared to $369 a month for the 2018 Clarity Fuel Cell.
The final drive off price has also gone up $10 to $2,878. The 36-month lease lets you drive up to 20,000 miles per year and includes up to $15,000 of hydrogen fuel and 21 days of access to a luxury vehicle from Avis while in California. The 2019 Clarity Fuel Cell is also eligible for a $5,000 California rebate and California’s Clean Air Vehicle Stickers to allow single-occupant HOV access.
The 2019 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell can travel up to 360 miles and can be refueled in three to five minutes using 70 MPa hydrogen refueling stations. Honda still won’t let you actually buy a Clarity Fuel Cell, but you can lease one at 12 Honda dealerships in select California markets, including six dealerships in Southern California, five in the San Francisco Bay Area, and one in the Sacramento area.
