The 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback and Civic Type R will officially go on sale on Saturday, which completes the arrival of the updated 2019 Civic lineup. The 2019 Civic Hatchback and Civic Type R get a new volume knob for the audio system and the Civic Hatchback now comes standard with Honda Sensing.
In addition to the new volume knob, the 2019 Civic Hatchback and Civic Type R also get improved voice recognition, USB sub-cord, the electronic parking brake gets an indicator light for when it’s engaged, larger cupholders, and physical buttons for fan speed on models with dual-zone climate control. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is also standard on EX trim levels and above.
Lastly the 2019 Civic Type R is now available in Sonic Gray Pearl.
The Honda 2019 Civic Hatchback is available in LX, Sport, EX, EX-L with Navigation, and Sport Touring trims. It’s powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 174 horsepower in LX, EX and EX-L Navi trims. The Civic Hatchback Sport and Sport Touring trims have 180 horsepower. The Civic Type R is powered by a 2.0-liter 306-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with automatic rev matching.
The 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback starts at $22,345 and the Civic Type R starts at $36,595 with the destination fees included.
