Ford has revealed that the 2019 Ford Ranger will have a unique blind spot monitoring system that will not only let you know if a vehicle is on either side of the truck, but it will even monitor the sides of a trailer.
The 2019 Ford Ranger will be offered with a new towing technology with radar in the Ranger’s taillights that monitors blind spots behind the truck, all the way to the back of a trailer. The system can store up to three trailer profiles, including a trailer’s length to help the system decide how far back to monitor.
The 2019 Ranger will also feature cross-traffic alert technology to warn drivers of oncoming vehicles when they are backing out of a parking spot.
The 2019 Ford Ranger will go on sale in the U.S. early next year.
