The 2019 Chevy Camaro is getting a refresh to help it match its long time rival, the Ford Mustang. On the outside the 2019 Camaro gets updated front and rear styling, while the interior gets some of Chevy’s latest tech features. The other big news is the introduction of the first-ever Turbo 1LE model.

At the front the 2019 Camaro gets a new fascia with a restyled grille, LED headlights and a new hood. The 2019 Camaro SS also gets the “flowtie” Chevy emblem, unique headlights and an extractor-style hood. At the rear there are new LED taillights, which feature red lenses on LS and LT models, while RS, SS and ZL1 models get dark-tinted lenses. Lastly the 2019 Camaro RS and SS models get new 20-inch wheels.

The 2019 Camaro Turbo 1LE joins the V6 1LE, SS 1LE and ZL1 1LE models. The more track-ready Turbo 1LE is powered by the 275-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder wtih 295 lb-ft. of torque. It comes exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and its chassis package is derived from the V6 1LE. Some of the features include an FE3 suspension with larger diameter front and rear stabilizer bars, specifically tuned dampers, stiffer rear cradle bushings and cross-axis ball joints; summer-only 20-inch tires, a Brembo brake package and the Driver Mode Selector with Sport Mode and new Track mode.

Inside the 2019 Camaro gets Chevy’s next-generation Infotainment 3 system. The standard system uses a 7-inch touchscreen, while a larger 8-inch touchscreen with the Infotainment 3 system is available. The 2019 Camaro also gets the Rear Camera Mirror on 2SS and ZL1 models, available Forward Collision Alert and an improved rear-vision camera.
